In mid-November 2025, Ethan became very ill over the course of a single weekend. What initially seemed like dehydration or the flu quickly escalated into something much more serious. After multiple emergency visits, doctors discovered a buildup of fluid on his brain caused by a blockage deep in the pineal region.
Further testing revealed that the blockage was caused by Pure Pineal Germinoma, a rare but highly treatable brain tumor. While the diagnosis was unexpected, Ethan has faced it with remarkable strength and determination.
Ethan underwent brain surgery to relieve the pressure and restore normal fluid flow. Since then, he has been in active treatment, including chemotherapy, frequent hospital visits, bloodwork, and ongoing care to manage side effects. Through it all, he continues to show resilience, curiosity, and courage beyond his years.
Ethan still has a few rounds of treatment ahead, followed by several weeks of radiation and continued monitoring. Despite everything, he remains positive, full of life, and grounded in the small moments that bring him joy.
